Well this week my car is gone, not even 30 days
- If you mean you are late but not 30 days late, there is no law that says you have to be delinquent a certain amount of time before they can reposess your car. They probably are tired of you being late(previous repos) and didn't want to give you any more time.
As for the whole they repoed your car for the insurance money, that is just plain silly. You are not going to have the repo company, a finance company, the auction yard, and everyone involved committing insurance fraud for at most a few thousand dollars that they would get on a car. They would do what they do with everyone else. Repo the car, get what they can at auction and go after the person for the balance of the loan.
I don't know why they would want you to call the police. Perhaps it was actually stolen, perhaps it is because by law they had to notify the police of the repo and when you call them they will tell you that it was in fact reposessed.
Have you called the police and give them your theory? What did they say?
