Triad Financial are a bunch of money-grabbing pricks.
In April of 2004 I purchased a 2002 Nissan Frontier. I made the down payment, drove it home, and two months later it still wasn't financed. The dealership
even had to mail me temporary tags twice, as they expired before I finally got a loan. Eventually, I got financed through Triad Financial at 18% interest rate(ouch!)
I never received a payment book or even a monthly statement. I either mailed a check or sent a moneygram every month, and assumed everything was ok until about a year later two guys showed up to repo my truck. This was at 11:00 pm, so of course I couldnt even call the company til the next morning. After calling for 2 hours ,I finally spoke to a rep who informed me that I was behind 3 months, and would have to pay that, plus a $300 repo fee to get my vehicle back.I didn't understand how I was 3 months behind, but since they told me I had 10 days before they auctioned off my truck, I paid anyway and got my truck back.
About a year later, I received a phone call from Triad (still no payment book, bill, or even a late notice in the mail) stating that I was 3 months behind, and unless I made arrangements to pay, they would repo my truck. They offered to refinance my loan to cover those 3 months. Apparently they had been charging late fees every DAY my payment was past due, but I didnt know this, as I never got a bill. I agreed, though, and never heard from them again until January 2007.
January 2007 two guys came to my house to repo my truck.Apparently I was 3 months behind again.Still no bill or anything in the mail, even though they obviously have my address, as the repo guys had no trouble finding it.
I paid everything they said that I owed(plus a repo fee) and after calling the reinstatement department 2 days straight, someone finally returned my call, and I got my truck back 2 days later.
August 21, 2007. Tonight, the repo guy came and picked up my truck.I am supposedly 5 months behind this time, though I dont understand how the hell that could be. Still no bill, payment book, or even a notice to repossess in the mail. I estimate in the past three years I have paid these bastards $429 a month, totalling approximately $15,000 on a $21,000 loan(more if you count late fees, repo fees, etc.)and they say I STILL owe about $12,000!!!
I dont know where my money has been going, but its not going to Triad Financial anymore, as I am calling tomorrow morning to tell them I have no intention of reinstating , and they can shove it up their dishonest money-grabbing *sses. I read the other complaints on this website about this sorry excuse for a company tonight, and wish I had seen this earlier(like 3 years ago!) I feel sorry for anyone who has had the misfortune of dealing with Triad, and if there is any type of class-action suit, please include me. I would love to see these frauds get their *ss handed to them in court.

I don't if you read my report. But I too had triad, I finally paid them off. We got a 16,000 loan and by the time We paid it off it was around 32,000. At the time to pay off the loan, I called them and I ask them how much is owed. They told me my balance is 2515.00 and payoff was 3600.00. I figured about four more payments and when the last payment was made so i thought, I called them to see when will I get our title. The rep told me that we still owe 920.00 for interest and late payments. I was livid. I went to triad in hunnington beach since i am so close but there is no one there except a recepitionist. I would like to start a another class action lawsuit to recover some money back for the headaches they put consumers thru. I just don't how to start it up. When I do I will let everyone know.
