*Consumer Suggestion: Regarding Fraud Claim Against Wells Fargo Auto Insurance

We requested a payment history from Wells Fargo Auto because we could not understand why we were being told that we went from a 72 month agreement to 76 month agreement. When we received the payment history it did not even start from the purchase date 05/07/05 it started from 11/13/2006 and of course no one at Wells Fargo seems to know why. We noticed that we had several “miscellaneous” charges as well as some kind of insurance which totaled $1615.45 for a 3 month period. We kept calling to find out about the charges and we were told that they will no longer speak with us and that we would have to speak to a supervisor. He have been harassed and belittled by Wells Fargo for years and now we find that our payments have been going towards “other” charges. We have also found that we are being charged interest on top of interest rather that the principal balance.

"We have been harrassed and belittled by Wells Fargo for years...". Let me see, all those "years" you refer to, they simply kept calling and calling just to pass the time of day, just to see how you're doing, just to have a friendly little chat like neighbors do.
All that "harrassment" was caused by you not making your payments on time. Over time, being late adds extra interest to the loan. When YOU are late, YOU add extra interest to the loan. YOU probably did not keep insurance on the car either...so they bought it for you and passed the cost onto you...the (and I use this term hesitatingly) "responsible" party.
You now claim they won't talk to you. They probably don't trust a single word coming out of your mouth.
You people need to learn...when you sign a contract, you are REQUIRED to make each and every payment on time. There are ZERO excuses except you are dead! Paying on time is not optional. When YOU don't pay on time, YOU turn on the collections efforts and YOU tell them to repo the car.
