My Car Mitsubishi gallant was hit by a drunk driver while parked legally on 09/12/2009. The named insurance company rep. gave me an appraisal in a week of the incident and declared my Mitsubishi Galant a total loss.

The appraiser then offered me $1961.44 which I declined as it did not even in the ballpark figures calculated from Nada, KBB or the dealers retail price around Irving area.

 The appraiser agrees that I am in loss if I accept $1961.44 as compensation and to my surprise, he insist in his converse that I should bear the loss regardless of no mistake of me which does not make any sense.
