I went to a local Allstate agent to sign up for auto insurance after they told me I would be paying $577.48 every 6 months . My mom wrote a check for me to use as the down payment , Because I was short at that time . Three months later they steal $781.18 out of my moms bank account . My mom called them , & they told her they signed her up for easy pay . Why would they do that when it was my insurance , & why did it go up so high ? They did not tell me it was going up , Or why it went up . After I canceled they tried to charge me for a full month . I did not pay it , & they threatened to contact a collection agency . So I decided to pay , & about 9 days after I payed it I got a letter from a collection agency saying I had to send them proof it was paid . Also , when I signed up I asked the agent about getting a check every 6 months I did not have an accident from the tv commercial . I did not get a check after 6 months , So I contacted them , & that is when they told me I had to sign up for a special program to get it . I don't know how they even stay in business ripping people off like that .
