Around 5:35pm I was involved in a car accident on May 25th 2005 on I79 South near the Cranberry Exit. I was in the passing lane and Continental Casualty Company's(CNA) insured was in the right lane. This company's insured made an unsafe lane change when attempting to pass the vehicle in front of him and hit my vehicle on the front right side as a result.

This driver's unsafe move propelled my vehicle off the roadway and towards the median. In an attempt to regain control of my vehicle, I tried to get back on the highway before crashing into anything but in vain. My vehicle spun out of control and crashed into scaffolding and guard railing and was totaled.

I filed a claim with Continental Casualty Company on May 27th 2005. It has been over two months now and they still have not completed the investigation process and I have not been provided with a reasonable written explanation as to why it is taking them this long to resolve this claim. This company is giving me the runaround.

For the past 2 months this company has been coming up regularly with a new excuse as to why they have not reached a decision regarding my auto claim. Two months ago they had to examine the accident, a month ago they were waiting on a police report and now for the past three weeks they have been waiting for another statement from their insured. It has been over two months since my car accident and I still have not been compensated.

I have a police report and a witness statement which recount the accident. I have provided this insurance company with both documents and yet this company tells me it has not been able to complete its investigation.

By now I should have been compensated for my loss; however it does not seem likely to happen anytime soon at the rate Continental Casualty Company is processing this claim. This is unfortunate considering that this country prides itself on providing freedom to all however on a daily basis companies such Continental Company Co. hold the people 'captive' through their lengthy investigation processes.
