My car was stolen June28 right out of my driveway. It was found July 27 in Philadelphia. At this point both myself and my roommate realized that a man my roommate used for some day work for a couple of weeks must have stolen my extra key out of my draw when he used the bathroom in the house.(I verified the key was missing at this time)
It is now August 25, Geico has my BMW in their yard now for a month. I have yet to see my car (they say there is no visible damage, but I cant verify this) and they refuse to tow my car back to the dealer in Bloomfield, NJ where I purchased the car to have it inspected. Furthermore, I was initially told by Geico that I could rent a car for up to 2 months which is almost up. The Enterprise office called me and now says that I have to pay and Geico MAY reimburse me at a later time. That is not what I was told when I first rented the car.
This is happening because a key was used to steal my car. I had nothing to do with this and as I explained to them what have I gained, what is the motive for me to be involved?? NOTHING, NOTHING except anxiety, aggravation…Plus I have a 1000.00 deductable. They are trying to back me into a corner, force me to go to Philly and get the car.(Which has no plates on it they are missing) Plus, what if the car is not in good mechanical shape and I get stuck driving back to Jersey? Who’s liable then? This is a nightmare and totally unfair. I pay my premium, a large one for my Bimmer and Im up to date.
