GEICO POOR Customer Service, YOU SPEND MORE instead of saving San Diego California

With the commercial ads they have on tv, you would think that GEICO is one of the BEST auto insurance company? OH NO! Their ad says 'That's the money you'll be saving with GEICO', totally WRONG! It should be 'THAT'S THE MONEY YOU'LL BE SPENDING WITH GEICO!'.

My outrage with GEICO is up to the roof! They have the WORST Customer Service too! We've been insuring with them for 5yrs, thought we'll be saving more since we're loyal customer but NO!

What happened was I asked for a quote if one of our car will move to another state how much its going to cost, I was just asking for a quote and yet the customer service rep already wrote a policy and the policy is the maximum coverage that they have, I didnt know until they sent me a bill. I was so upset because the amount was double of what we are currently paying and also I only asked for a quote and yet they wrote the policy. And when I called 1-800-841-3000, they give you this long automated voice, make you wait for atleast 20mins before you can talk to someone then they'll transfer you because its not their department, even if you get their name, you call back there is no one with such name. They will build up your frustrations.

Its the WORST customer service I've encountered. Customer Service is the heart of every business for me because one upset customer can lead to tons and before you know it you wont have anymore customer.

I resolved this by cancelling their service and found a better auto insurance company.

AND THE MORE ADS A COMPANY HAS, YOU HAVE TO WONDER THAT THEY ARE SPENDING ALL THEIR MONEY ON THE ADS AND LESS ON PEOPLE WHO CAN PROVIDE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LESS ON THEIR EMPLOYEE PAY...

I DO NOT DEAL WITH GEICO OR ANY OF THOSE BIG PLACES.

I AM SURE THEY ARE ADEQUATE FOR WHAT THEY DO.

I PREFER TO INSURE WITH A LOCAL INSURANCE DEALER.

I am an ex-employee of GEICO and worked there for many years. I never had GEICO insurance and never will. Even with my employee discounts, GEICO was higher than the insurance company I have now.

FYI - If you live in the states of California or Oregon, get a quote from Wawanesa Insurance. They are cheaper than GEICO, they don't spend millions on advertising, they don't have a mascot, they pay out their claims fair, and they treat their customers and employees well.
