My wife and myself where going to a bus stop here in Phoenix AZ and on our way a Liberty Mutual Policy Holder pulled right out in front of us from a side street parking lot with less than 10 ft between vehicles. She was making a left hand turn from a Starbucks Coffee and was concentrating on her coffee and her cell phone. She was sited and Liberty Mutual has claim to have accepted liability but when I brought up losses due to having to take the day off, taking time off to go car shop etc. and having to obtain a replacement vehicle they kept telling me that they where only responsible for totalling my car out and the other person from same company only handles medical. I couldn't get a straight answer any time from anyone atLiberty Mutual Insurance Claims. They totaled the car but wanted all the keys and title to it. Go figurer. 2007 Malibu don't work out well in a wreck when both air bags deploy. It took for ever to find a phone number to call Liberty Mutual claims center and it only goes down hill from there. I contacted my State Farm Agent to get assistance and within minutes they contacted me and helped me get a rental car and started dealing with the other company Liberty Mutual on my behalf. I needed a rental so that I could get back and forth from work but Liberty Mutual kept putting me off for over a week as they took that long to claim that they where Liable for the accident. If it hadn't been for State Farm and their help I would be in a mess caused by the Liberty Mutual Policy holder and her insurance company that doesn't care about anyone but them and what they are required to do by law. On a scale of 1-10 I rank Liberty Mutual as 0. They don't even make it to the scale.

The insurance is essentially buying your car, you moron. Obviously they want the keys and title...it's their car now! Incidental costs like taking the day off to handle things isn't covered by any company. This nightmare is due to your naivetee and ignorance, not Liberty Mutual's. And before you ask, I don't work for them or any insurance company. I just live in the real world.
