Northland Insurance Miss Handles Claims Ripp off Insurance Don't stand behind what the say Hartford, Connecticut

This could be confusing, but here it goes.  I had an ATV (4 wheeler) and it was stolen.  The insurance company, Northland, contacted me and stated that they needed the title in order to process the claim.  I had lost the title.  So, they were going to process the claim with a power of attny.

They also told me they had received a notice from a bank that there was a lien on the ATV.  I informed them that there was not.  I spoke with Randy Robinson, he was my specialist, and he informed me that the only way he could send a check was to make it payable to me and the bank, unless I was able to get a "free and clear" title with no lien.  This was very hard to do, because the ATV was listed as stolen in the NCIC database. 

However, I was able to move heaven and earth and finally get a title to the ATV.  I sent it to Northland, expecting a check.  When I contacted Mr. Robinson he informed me he would have to make the check payable to me and the bank.  I informed him that this would NOT be acceptable, but he insisted.

I was then transfered to the title department, and then to the supervisor to no avail.  There is NO RECORDED LIEN on the title.  I sent them the only true free and clear title, and they refuse to pay the claim.  I then asked for the title bank, seeing as how they didn't pay the claim, but they REFUSED to send back my title.  I now have no ATV, no title, and no money!  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
