My vehicle was in an accident. I was not driving. I have my vehicle insured by Progressive Insurance. I received my rental car & when I took the rental back Progressive refused to pay for 2 days. I lost my deposit on my rental car plus I now owe 2 days rental fees. I was never called by anyone to take the rental car back. I returned the car after my car was repaired. I was having electrical problems after the accident. I was told it was due to wear & tear. NO ONE CALLED! I had to call the garage who had my vehicle to see if it was finished. Needless to say, stay away from Progressive Insurance!!!! I will no longer be a customer of theirs. Total ripp-off.

Several questions

AUTHOR: Robert - Irvine (U.S.A.)

There is a lot of information missing in your report that could probably explain a lot.

First if you were not driving, does your policy cover other drivers who are not on your policy?  Then who was at fault for the accident your driver or the other driver?

What does your policy state about a rental car?  If it states you are entitled to one and they denied you, what was the reason they gave you?

Another big question is just how did you "loose" your deposit on your rental car?  If you had to put a deposit down, that gets returned to you upon return of the car.  The only reason they would keep the deposit is if you had additional charges that you did not pay for by another method.
