Wells fargo placed collateral insurance on my vehicle in 9/2008, then again 3/2009. This balance of 670.00 each time was placed on my current payments. totaling over 1300.00 they told me continuously this would get handled. I called their ins. company (balboa) faxed them the paperwork initially. three weeks later they told me they didn't recieve it. Then I had my insurance adjuster call them direct and provide the info. They told me it would be credited right away. They came to reposess the car. The repo company they use came right to my work (Police Deapartment) and talked to my Sgt. two days in a row. I called him and advised him to back off. I called wells fargo the recovery person Ben Berkam said I had to pay 1600.00 on the spot or give the car to them. He said they did credit the insurance money back, but it was credited off the principal balance at the end of the loan. I still had to pay it up front. One whole months of wages to keep the car for insurance I already paid for privately. Then to top it, I recieved another letter at the end of september telling me they still have no proof of my insurance and are gonna charge me again. How can they do this????? Then two days after paying the money, a rep called me and said I was short $44.00 and I had to pay it or they were going to submit the car for reposession.
