UNETHICAL CLAIMS PROCESSING: Zurich Insurance accepted responsibility of an accident in which my car was totaled by one of their drivers. After having been confirmed a total loss dollar amount that I would be given, and after I sent them my car title per their request, the company said they would no longer be paying for 100% of the damages. Three cars were involved in the accident at the fault of the driver, and the company subsequently decided they could not afford to process both of our claims. The company called and told me the rental car they were providing would be terminated that day and that I needed to process the claim through my insurance company using the uninsured motorist deductible. The issue is that the company had no issue with going back on what they told me, and were very clear that since it was not in writing (although they note that all calls are recorded, meaning there is record of the discussion). Therefore, what I had been told did not matter according to the Zurich representative. They should more thoroughly process claims up front instead of unethically negating their assessments and taking the means of transportation away from the victimized motorist with no consideration for the impact it has.

Do you have anything in writing?
What you describe sounds like insurance fraud.
Seek the services of an attorney, with your records in hand. Most would LOVE to take your case, as it is described here. You pay nothing for the attorney. What the insurance co will pay will go above & beyond any attorney fees (*they eat that, not you).
You could not only recover everything, but you could also get more, in punitive damages, if what you say is true.
This is an insurance company. They can afford to process claims. It is what they do.
Something here doesn't make sense.
