After filling out the tiny rebate form which is literately the size of the palm of my hand, I discovered (using my readers because the print was so tiny) that Prestone requires the imprinted foil seal from the bottle. Of course I tore the seal off to use the product. The receipt and UPC number is not enough.
Prestone is misleading and unethical.

I have exactly the same problem - destroyed the foil before reading the rebate form. I felt the same way about Prestone, but decided to call customer support to give them a chance. I was transferred to Rebate Customer Support and was told the if I mailed in the ORIGINAL sales receipt, not a copy, that would be sufficient and the rebate would be processed (I guess they're using the foil to prevent duplicate claims and the original receipt does the same thing). I made note of this advice on the form where it asks for the foil and mailed it in. Here's hoping this is honored!!

This is a total scam, and I have filed a detailed report here today.
We need to get the word out on this in a big way.
Boycott all Prestone Products which include FRAM, and Honeywell.
