My Truck is un-drivable unsafe and will cause an accident because of their work
There work is complete junk do not get anything done by this shop
I am also in contact with others that have fallen victim to this shop and its bad practices
After speaking with the owner Jay Ivey about getting my truck fitted with an air ride system I took it into his shop so we can both go over what needed to be done, what can be done, and pricing. It was all set I was to drop off the truck in 2 weeks so they can get started on it. After dropping off the truck and paying upfront fee for parts is when the downward spiral started.
3 weeks into the build I called to see how things were going, after he explained to me it would be about a 4 week job I figured okay I will give it 2 more weeks. Well the truck was nowhere near completion at that point either. This went on for almost 2months during this time I would call and he would tell me “oh it will be done in a few days” days turned into weeks. Then when he told me it would be done 9pm this evening I arranged a ride, very excited to see the tuck I get to the shop and of course its not complete drive shaft is off, gas tank isn’t built, seats are still out. The truck is still torn down.
Well I finally get the truck back and here is what followed:
Agreed switch box was not installed
Agreed side to side option was not installed
Drive shaft fell off (they didn’t bolt it back)
I couldn’t drive any faster than 25mph or tail end would sway violently from left to right (I almost wrecked)
Gas tank started leaking
They built wrong size gas tank
Shock mounts broke off (while driving)
Shock bolts fell off (while driving)
Both front air bags have slashes in them from build (blew out while driving)
Removed rear AC unit without informing me
Dented driver and rear sides of body
Huge scratches on roof as well as sides
Rear sway bar or stability bar was welded on with zero bushings or movement options made truck extremely unstable at speeds of 60+mph and that broke also while driving
After taking it back to them over a period of 2 years the truck is still in an un-drivable state
All work that was done it now cracking and on the verge of breaking on a 2 yr old build

Im an ex employee and I believe everything you just said. I got in trouble for making bag cups look "too pretty", I was told its not a magazine truck and that nobody would ever see it. Ive seen some pretty crappy work come out of the doors of that shop. We would almost always have some kind of problem with a customer unless he was building a show vehicle.... Jay told me himself, this is a production shop, you get paid by how much you do not how good bag cups look, I mean hello what if someone takes a truck you produced to a show? With a sticker from your shop. Hes always trying to sale you things you dont need, and the reason yotruck took so long is because youre not a priority at branded unless your spending a lot of money, he treats his employees like garbage, he only cares about himself....i completely understand.
