Works in high rise building parking structure known as The Landmark II. I hired them to wash & detail my car. There were light surface scratches on my car that i wanted polished out if possible. Christi the manager said no problem most if not all of the scuffs could be easily removed.
They returned my car keys to the office, I paid them the $70. At the end of my day I went to my car & it loked like it had not even been washed. The car wash crew had left for the day, but spoke to Christi on their next work day at the building. She stated:
1. She had never seen me or my car before.
2. She had never done any work on my car ever.
This continued for several weeks. I took my car to another detailer, who looked closely at the paint. The car had only been rinsed, never washed, no paint cleaning or polishing had been done, but an inexpensive wax had been applied over the dirt and even road tar that was on the lower doors.
He detailed my car by removing the wax, washing the car (with hot water & automotive soap) that removed 90% of the dirt, tar, etc. The remainder was removed with a commercial detailer product called DeSovl, used a hand glaze to remove almost all of the scuff marks.
He reviewed their (Deatiling Unlimited's) brochure and specifcally stated that with regards to their paint preparation, it is not a recommended procedure per original equipment manufacturer's maintenance and service written directives (of which he gave me a copy). The specific products they use leaves residual contaminents in the paint which continues to destroy a cars finish although the paint on the surface looks fine.
The owner is almost psychotic and just refers everyone who speaks to him to call his lawyer- who he will not give his name to anyone either.
