this guy thought i turned him in to the irs because they audited him and he said a sub contractor turned him in. so he thought is was me, and he and i did a job off the river in janesville wisconsin,, it had 18% moisture in the wood we had two weeks two do job the owner lived in chicago. i was told the owner will not be back for two weeks,, there was over a foot of water under the house i brought my moisture tester in to read the floor you need atleast 12% mosture or i prefer 9% to sand floor or it will cup when it goes back to normal mosture content. we were at 15 and 18% every day i stop sanding after the first cut with my papper on wood to let it dry out, i told my partner in this lets let it dry out so it dont cup it is my professional opinion we have time..i asked him if he wanted to come back and do the floor twice because it will cup when it dries out,, and i was looking out for the homeowner..he wanted to sand it at 18% and coat it he said he has no garrantees, on his work so it dont matter,, he is covered on his contracts not to give a guarrantee, i give one year on my work he dont.. we had it planed to come back the next day to drain water out from under house. i ended up in the hospital i have proof of this i was taken by ambalance to st. marys. for a very bad illness. i did not make it to the job and my partner went there and got a ace in the hole and started to drain water,,, i called him and told him what happen to me i went back to the hospital and could not make it..and he told me he started draining water in crawl and he was going to go to the up to go fishing and he will be back on monday i did'nt make it back to the house till monday and i get there and the floor is sanded and finished "im like what the heck my tools they are gone, and the floor is done and it still had 18% moisture in the wood but him and another guy finished it with out me and TOOK THE MONEY THAT WAS TO BE FOR ME AND GAVE IT TO HIS BUDDY WHO HAD SANDING TOOLS,,he has no sandind tools but he has been a hardwood guy for 15 years he said he has a repetition to up hold and needs to finish job,,((he has a rep so let sand a floor with 18% moisture in it and hope for the best) i would never sand a floor with that much moisture in it i have a one year guarrantee i would not even think twice about it.if anyone is a theif it is my partner who took the job from under my nose..now remember he was in the u,p) fishing and told me he would be back monday i waited till then im not doing all the work and furnishing my sanding tools witch cost me 8 thousand dollars will he is in the up fishing i was sick on top of that,, do you want the proof i have it would you like it i can show you..call cottage grove police and ask them if i was taken to the hospital for serious medical atention. and ask my doctor for my medical records... we had one more week to finish job the job was a very small one day sanding job, but the moisture was a factor in this it needed to dry out even if it take a month you cant sand a floor with over 12% moisture in it,, but this guy did.???should i just blow off the moisture content so i can get paid faster?? or wait and do the right thing like i was tought cover your ass so you dont get bit??? i was tought by the best in the usa and i can prove that too.would you like that proof.? i have over 21 years in hardwood floors and only hardwood floors. i also cant screw a costumer like that would you.? and maybe it was the homeowner that put me on this rip off site.. but in my professional opion the owner got ripped of by my partner for sanding a floor with out drying it out...mabey he got lucky and it took, but i belive it will cup and he will be back sanding.. i new this guy who own's best flooring in janseville wisconsin was lieing to me when he told me he had 15 years in hardwood and could not run the 220 sanding machine i had him run to see what he could do with it,he could not run it, all i mean at all he was afraid of it and i new right there the boy did not have the 15 years in hardwood that he told me he had when i met this guy two weeks before.he tol me he only runs 110 sanders that he rents,if he did he would know how to run a professional floor sanding machine...so dont tell me im a rip off artist because i will sue someone for slander i showed up for the job two days late that is all i did not blow anyone off i showed up on monday and the job was taken from uder me so who is the thief, you got ripped off by best flooring of janesville.not me DAVID M DEMBOWSKI.ps..did the floor cup yet i belive it will ,,,call some other floor guys(real ones that have been doing floor for life like me..) and ask them if they would sand a floor with 18% moisture..in my hole 22 years i have never! i mean NEVER seen a floor with that much moisture ever 18%!!!! and go ahead and sand it before it dries come on people, were is your brains...im not a thief and im not happy about your lies about me, should we take this matter to court,,please call me and let me know if i should take someone to court for slander. or do you just like making false statements about a business man who works for five kids and a hot wife lol... 608-764-2724 i am taking legal action on this matter im not a thief you should not say things about people till you have all the facts, and the fact is the homeowner got the shafted by a conartist he coned me yes he did.. how do you finish something that was done already behind my back..

Dave first of all it was Edgerton, WI. Second the customer said I don't care I just want it done, while we were both there. Third I pumped the water out from under the house. Fourth you said you would in fact be there Saturday, I came in Sunday afternoon and nothing was done. Fifth the sanders I learned on were 220 volt, what I am not used to is using a belt. (Between the belt = string around the waste, pinched against a wall, and some guy over your shoulder crowding you telling you how he does it. Yeah! Hmm.) To keep over head low I have been using 110 volt rental sanders.
Sixth it is my contract, my signature, my name on it, with a pre set deadline. They actually originally wanted the job done a full week earlier than it had gotten done. Seventh you got paid $250 down on that job and all you did was cut it once with the drum sander. Eighth I don't care if it's a $10 or $10,000 dollar sander, if you tell someone you are going to be someplace - You be there (especially when work is involved). Ninth Question my experience, I'm 31 and the first floor I ever helped on at all I was 16 do the math. I'm not the one convinced that every floor should be water popped or that you must use steal plates. Water popping raises the grain but also softens the top of the wood - which you can ask any legit professional. Want proof? I would be willing to show you or tell you how to do the taboo of flooring over the phone. Sure when staining it may look better, but it's also less scratch resistant and if you want a dark walnut or cherry look, buy dark walnut or cherry. Then use clear! You get what you pay for, want it real, and buy it real.
Number ten! For a flooring guy that doesn't know how to roll? Common Dave, you doubt my flooring skills, yet you won't roll out a floor? Dude I don't know what you major malfunction is you wanted to end the idea of us being partners, I walked away from it with having paid you $250 and actually spending another $105 dollar roughly on rental equipment for that job. The same job you called the cops on me because I moved your equipment from inside the doorway to there shed so I could roll in different equipment. Calling me up in the middle of the night accusing me of things I didn't do, and leaving threatening voice mails on my phone? What are we in high school again? Common David!!! I was seriously looking forward to working with a partner that actually had a few skills rather than pulling everything off by my self. With a good partner you get three times more done. If I ended up in the hospital and you finished a job with your name on it I wouldn't say much, or flip about it.
Contracts need to be completed regardless of mine or your personal situations. You will be getting a 1099 for the cash I paid you for work you did with me. Nothing personal, but I won't work with a hot head. If you want to take legal action against me for this post, go ahead! You already accused me of things I didn't do. Guess what now I went and did it! Now I am asking you, leave me alone!!! Unlike you when I call the cops, I actually do have a real reason, unlawful use of a telephone was mine, and I did file a formal complaint. If you really want we could keep digging at one another, or we can let it go and forget we ever met. Either way I really don't care anymore, you made noise like you want to involve friends of mine and that seriously just isn't cool. That would be like me taking and making personal accusations against you at the friends and family level.
Last but not least, I asked you flat out if you knew anything about Wisconsin Unemployment Insurance (a state agency) doing an audit, not the IRS. They said it wasn't random, guess what you are the only independent I have worked with. I have managed to piss a few others off in the past also. So ya, don't think I assumed anything, I asked, you said no. End of story. Unless the state of Wisconsin tells me otherwise. Later. P.S. I own Best Flooring of Janesville WI it's a sole proprietorship. Robert Janesville WI, Wisconsin

Thats right David, now I run a 220-Volt speedmatic 12" drum sander, same as the one I learned on the first time around! The motor stamped porta cable draws 26 amp's at 110 volt's and 13 amp's at 220 volt's. Hmm, imagine that even that bulky heavy older reconditioned 3 horse motor is dual voltage! The paper I preferre to run on that drum is 24 / 50 / and 80 grit Norton paper. lately I've been doing job's 2 cut's 60 for the rough, 80 for the fine followed by 100-grit and then 150 grit screens and have now switched from regular poly to Water-Borne Oil modified Poly from Zar. Low odor, dry to touch in 20 to 30 minute's and recoat in roughly 2 hours! With the time the 12" drum saves, and the fact it's roughly 320lb's I no longer really need a partner (still be good eventually). Oh I still rent the edger now I rent a alto super 7 R, which I ajusted for a smooth power cutting right edge. Drum sander belt, I use rope and run it through the two side belt loops, feel's more comfortable, and easier for me to control. I would like to thank Joe Corna for showing me and letting me use that wonderfull machine years back, Thank you. Best Flooring in Janesville WI is still a sole prepriotor ship 728-BEST I do one at a time and if any of my customers ever have issues call me direct, I will make it right, Robert.
