Empire Today Overpriced Shoddy Carpet Internet

Do not use this company. They are a total ripoff. Let me say it is my fault for not doing the leg work because I wanted it done yesterday. The service was prompt, the salesperson came out right away and the installers were also on time and did a good job. The carpet however is substandard. I was charged $3600. for 700sq ft of carpet even though I was told I only needed 547. The salesperson said I would have too many seams if I did not purchase the extra footage. Is this common practice? I am not sure. The carpet is thin and when I step on it I can feel the cement slab underneath, if it last three years I will be amazed. I priced carpet afterwards and feel I overpaid by about $1500. Again, entirely my own fault but would like others to benifit from my stupidity.

Yes Rebekah, someone from your company did reach out to me and told me they would do anything they could to make my experience with your company more positive. The said they would send a salesman who would allow me to pick out new carpet. What he sent was the most obnoxious man they could fine, who would not stop talking and let me get a word in. He basically told me I did not know what I was talking about and that the carpet I had was fine. I had some samples of carpet that were twice the quality and some price quotes that were much lower that he would not even look at. I was also told by this company that I should never have been charged for 700sq ft if I only needed 547. The salesman also brought samples of the ugliest carpet he could find. My opinion of your company is lower now then it was originally. I want nothing further to do with anyone from Empire Today and will chalk it up to a very expensive lesson learned.
