John Row of the rite rug store in Marion, Ohio showed us carpet samples and told us it was Mohawk carpet with 10 year warranty.

Rite Rug installed carpet that is full of holes and runs obiviously a manufacturers defect.

Two representatives from Rite Rug have inspected the carpet, and they refuse to replace the carpet, plus they are trying to force me to pay the balace of my bill($408.49).

I have three rooms with carpet full of holes and runs, which totally ruins my apartment.

Was this carpet in stock at the store? Was it first quality? What did you pay? If it were first quality a Mohawk rep would have looked at it along with the store. Some installers use a spike instead of power stretching which will leave holes in the carpet. Could be the owners knew it was improper installation or seconds to begin with, therefore it would have been sold with no warranty. Knowing the price will tell me a lot. IE 26 oz base grade carpet would normally retail for around $9-10. If you paid $6 I know you got seconds. Nothing wrong with seconds, lots of them are off shade or a variance from the stock product but perfectly usable. Check you receipt. You can also contact Mohawk direct as they do have a consumer line.
