My dad got a letter yesterday from Gold Star Securities. It said he had won 250,000 USD. He was very excited at first but he felt it wasnt true. First, because he didnt remember entering a raffle and second because when he called the number the letter said to call they told him to deposit the check in the bank. They told him it was a raffle from JCPenney or Home Depot. He called his Tax preparor to get a second opinion and he was told it was a fraud. He also went to Home Depot and they said they had no recent raffle done. I googled Gold Star Securities and came up with another story similar to us. My dad was glad he didnt listen to the lady from Gold Star Securities.
