I don't find it too odd that you would be waiting at least 17 days for an ordered book, unless you were quoted a different time frame. Often, and especially with publications that are marketed via direct response, there is a 4-8 week wait time. I think this is so the publishers can avoid drastic over-printing.
However, I can tell you right now that not receiving this book will leave you less "ripped off" than actually receiving it and following its advice.
There is no slot machine method. There are a number of myths about how slot machines work, and about how casinos strategically place the machines with higher payouts. Every system I've seen is based on one or more of these myths. And I haven't seen anything that would indicate that Applegate's "system" is any different.
Believe me, any casino gambling system that doesn't involve blackjack, poker, or possibly video poker will never be able to overcome the house advantage entirely. In other words, unless you are playing blackjack or poker, there is no way for you to gain a statistical advantage over the casino. You may win in the short run, but you will most definitely lose in the long run.
And the people who do make somewhat of a career out of gambling will tell you that it's an exhausting enterprise that brings in far less cash than you would think. And worse yet, it takes all the fun out of the game.
Best of luck!
