Hi,
Noticed your story during another online search and think I can help you or anyone that's reading this. I was a victim of a sportsbook similar to BetUS but luckily found a source to help and continue helping me as I play online.
Realistically, there are no laws governing the fine print associated with sign-up bonuses for online sportsbooks. The guys at the Off Shore Gaming Association (OSGA) went to work pleading my case and got back to me really quick. I think their website is www.osga.com. They're sort of a "Better Business Bureau" helping resolve disputes and offer advice. The books don't want to piss them off because they fear getting a negative rating on their website. Anyway...they helped me out and I learned a great lesson.
First of all, always ask "the rollover rules" when you receive any type of bonus. Not defending BetUS, but this could have happened at many places. In fact, read some of the sports gambling websites. BoDog currently has one of the worst reputations.
The sportsbook disputes are almost always about payoffs. I was laughing talking with OSGA, learning about how the creative methods these books discover to deposit your money.
The best thing that came out of my experience with the OSGA was thankfully keeping them in mind for later on when they helped me out with a much more serious, costly dispute. Anyway... can't be naive and figure I can win every case but it's nice to know I DO HAVE A PLACE TO GO!
Until we get real legalization and regulation here in the US, all kinds of unfair (and maybe illegal) crap is going to take place for players. Before I potentially get into trouble and IF I get into any trouble I talk with the OSGA to level things out.
