On 01-29-2010, I came into Affordable Portables to return a phone before the 30 days. I did not like the phone, it was too hard to use. The manager said he would kindly do that. As he looked into my account, he said that the employee that I bought it from (Reggie) gave me a discounted rate for my phone. I had already used my 2 year upgrade. I was not allowed to get another upgrade on my line. He said, he would have to take my phone anyway. That down the line, AT&T would do the same thing and charge my account the full amount if I didnt return it! At that point, I was not allowed to buy a phone at a discounted rate from them.  I NEEDED a phone because my phone that I had before for 3 years was falling apart. At that point, I was so frustrated for a mistake on their part. If I had known, I would of not bought a phone. I would of waited to save money. Now I had to wait 10-14+ days for a check in the mail! I paid cash! If I had paid via my credit card I would of had my card refunded. NOW!!!

I have been waiting for my refund since 01-29-2010. That by policy they would have to issue a check. I returned a Samsung Impression phone that I purchased on 01-05-2010 for $130.62. I returned it. (the store has the phone I returned, I did not get my money back on day of return!) POLICY SAYS that I should get a check in the mail in 10-14 days, well it has came and gone. I still have no check. I have spoke to Skyler Monroe the manger, I came in on Monday 03-08-2010 and he called corporate office and left a voice mail to Sandy. He also said he emailed her. He said he would call me at 6pm that night and let me know why its taking so long, that he would be on top of it. WELL...no phone call as of this day from Corporate or from the store. I want my money back!! Now I feel I am being ripped off!!  All I want is my money back for a phone that I returned. DO NOT GO TO AFFORDABLE PORTABLES at the Riverside Plaza!!! They are not the best, if they treated me this way...I am sure they have done this to others! I have contacted the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!

This is not my only problem. I also tried to return my husbands phone. After being treated  so horribly. I did not want to have anything to do with them. I tried returning my husbands phone by the 30 days. Well, I was one day over. They refused to let me return it. Because January had 31 days. The manager was not in that day I went in. The employees working that day said, Skyler had to okay it. They also said, not to worry, he has done it plenty of times. I called corporate office and they said no, they cannot issue a refund on the phone. I could not return it for another one!!!! I have been telling everyone about this place.  One of my friends told me that they lied to AT&T to get charges removed. They also have done returns 2 days later the 30 days.

I want my refund now! Its been to long. I need to buy a phone at AT&T!!!

 Its not AT&T's fault, they told me not to go to them. They charge $18 for changing up your bill!! yeah, they will help you. But check your bill, they add charges that are not necessary. ATT will not add charges to your bill. They do it free!

On friday evening I called the store regarding a problem that happened earlirer that day .We had a phone that we wanted to returned within the 30 days and spoke to Skyler and then asked to speak to Heidi Morales the district manager.I asked her about situation,she was very rude and unprofessional.She told me she did not have to talk to me,and what I was calling about was none of my business.I then asked her for her last name and she said she did not have to give me anything and hung up in my face.A phone was purchase and then  we tried to return it  within the 30 days .Per Heidi it could not be returned, and we would have to pay full price for the phone$500.00+.We explained this was against the law and she said it was not and we had already been charged the full retail price.I explain that we would be contacting the corp office,better business bureau and others.They did not seem to care.

 

What is going on down there and who is allowing this place to be run this way.
