My husband received a letter from ALW Sourcing, LLC stating he owed money to a Gulf State Credit, LLC company.  I called ALW to inquire further. Upon calling, they told me he owed money to AT&T in the amount of $143.28.  Being that we just closed on our house on 11/14/08 & this creditor didn't appear on any documents, it made me suspicious.  I told this to the person I was speaking with.  She gave me a song & dance telling me this Gulf State Credit, LLC didn't report it to the 3 credit reporting agencies.  I asked details of the alleged bill, she told me it was a bill from 9/9/97........12 years ago!!!!  I proceeded to LOL (literally) & asked her exactly why didn't this appear on my husband's credit reports for the past 12 years.  She told me Gulf State Credit, LLC didn't "report" his delinquencies just yet.  I told her that was pretty funny considering we just purchased property & this should of appeared on his credit report; not to mention he has been a Cingular customer (which is now AT&T) for well over 12 years yet despite the fact he suposedly owes them money but they continue to provide him services???  She then asked me if I was disputing the charges, which I told her "Absolutely & I'll turn this letter over to my attorney for further review".  This conversation took place on 7/17/09 at 2pm & I've yet to hear back from them.  I decided to Google ALW Sourcing, LLC this evening out of curiousity & came across this website result which is why I'm posting.  Go figure, I'm not the only one who tried to get scammed by this so-called company!!!!
