I have had AT&T wireless for a 2 year contract. I have had dropped calls everyday of the contract. I have to go out into my front yard to make a call at home. I have contacted AT&T on several occasions to find out what is up with the sorry service.

They have actually told me that it may the stent in my heart causing the interference. One rep. told me they were going to put up a 3 million dollar repeater tower close to my house to fix the problem. Yeah right! There is a tower 2 miles from my house. It is only 500 feet from my business. I can't get calls at the shop either. I have upgraded phones. I have updated the phones. I have done everything anybody can do to improve my call complete ratio. So far I am 4 dropped calls for every 5 calls tried.

My wife has the same problems with her phone and she doesn't have a stent in her heart. I received the bill from them today. I had 205 dropped calls last month.(we kept count this time) AT&T Wireless said they were working on the problem but since my contract has been expired for 2 weeks, I need to update it for another 2 years before they can fix the problem. (are they going to take out my stent?). Guess who will have Verizon next week?

FYI

AUTHOR: John - Louisville (U.S.A.)

All cell phone carriers are merciless about not letting you out of a contract for any reason...this includes a lack of service or dropped calls. If you are not out of contract, you will have to pay their termination fee.

I also have dropped calls

AUTHOR: Tmm33 - Yeah That Place (U.S.A.)

I know your frustration. I live in Cordova, TN and my calls are dropped constantly, in my house unless I stick my right foot out and hold my finger in the air. LOL just kidding about the last part but yes my calls are dropped constantly in my house. We have a cell phone tower 9 miles from the house. Its silly how many calls I lose.

I also have dropped calls

AUTHOR: Aafes - Viernheim (U.S.A.)

but you lose with ATT in this situation. They sent me a copy of the contract and highlighted this portion:

"There are gaps in service within the service areas shown on coverage maps, which, by their nature, are only approximations of actual coverage. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE YOU UNINTERRUPTED SERVICE OR COVERAGE."
