Bell Mobility Canada Took overpayment for themselves on final bill, took overpayment as 'other charges' Vancouver, British Columbia

Virgin Mobile offered a better plan of service than Bell Canada, so I cancelled my month-to-month plan with Bell.



Bell informed me a final bill would be sent in the mail.



The bill came and was paid.



A month later, another bill arrived, apparently for unpaid charges of $6.96.   I had already sent them $10.26, believing that was the balance owed, so an overpayment of $3.30 was made.



A month later, another bill arrived, outlining that;

Previous amount due :   $6.96

Payment recieved       :  $-10.26

Credit Balance                $  -3. 30



instead of sending me a refund, Bell simply kept the difference, after alloting a random 'other charge' to the bill;



Other charges                $3. 30

Total Amount Due           $0. 00    Thanks for using Bell!




Well isn't that nice of them to keep the extra $3.30? For what? Looking up the charge description, it's listed as 'Tolerance', whatever that means.



Funny how Bell thinks its okay to literally STEAL your money, but if you owed them the same balance, they'd cancel your phone, report to your credit agency, put on extra charges, etc
