My service was cut off on day 29 although I paid $50 for a 30 day service, I am currently getting a run around.

I Payments made on the 9th of every month at 11 pm, I received no notifications of a plan change and service was cut off on day 29 (11/08/2011), according to customer support they want people to pay 1 day earlier than the posted due date if you have made 6 payments that changes your shrinkage plan.

I feel they hope that in paying 1 day earlier you will notice they are stealing 1 day of service at a cost of about $1.67 on a $50 plan.

If customers pay for the boost mobile shrinkage plan and their plan changes after 6 on time payment they are forced to pay 1 day earlier or their phone will be cut off the day before their posted due date.

Therefore a customer on a $50 monthly plan(30 days) only gets 29 days of service at a loss of $1.67. Now say there are 1 million customers on this plan, they now profit 1.67 Million of peoples hard earned money every 6 months.

Have you got around to reading the terms for the "shrinkage" acccount?

AUTHOR: Ken - Greeley (USA)

To help you out, here's an excerpt from their website.  There's more there on their "Shrinkage Plan".

What is Shrinkage? All Monthly Unlimited plans include SHRINKAGE and unlimited nationwide talk, text, web, email & 411. SHRINKAGE reduces your payment by $5/month for every six on-time payments, up to $15/month in total. Monthly Unlimited shrinks to as low as $35/month, Android Monthly Unlimited to as low as $40/month or $45/month for BlackBerry Monthly Unlimited.On-time PaymentsOn-time payments are made on or before the monthly payment date. Your monthly payment date remains the same every month as long as you successfully make your monthly payment. However, if you make a late payment, your payment date will be reset to the day of the month before the date your service is restored (e.g., if your service is restored on February 15th, your monthly payment date will be reset to March 14th).

Knowing the terms of your plan would be a good idea.

They still are ripping people off

AUTHOR: anonymous - (United States of America)

If I buy a phone and pay $50 for 1 month of service (30 days) it does not mean I only get  29 days then my service gets cut off. as with any bill If no payment is made by the due date, the next day starts the past due date in which service is cut off. They are forcing people to pay one day earlier (29 days) or your service will be cut off. Individuals with auto re-boost are having similar issues of boost mobile cutting off their service after 6 successful payments, even though their account should re-boost automatically. They only restore service once actual payment is taken out after the due date( if the due date is the 9th they remove it on the 10th)  or if a customer is able to get through customer support. But they are denied the shrinkage credit and loose 1 day of service.

Clueless

AUTHOR: Robert - Irvine (U.S.A.)

Did you even do as Ken suggested and read the terms?  My guess is NO.

Your monthly payment date remains the same every month as long as you successfully make your monthly payment. However, if you make a late payment, your payment date will be reset to the day of the month before the date your service is restored (e.g., if your service is restored on February 15th, your monthly payment date will be reset to March 14th).

- So they keep the payment date the same every month and you are complaining that they are shorted you a day by not giving you a full 30 days(your words).

Well there are two problems with that.

Problem 1.  What about months with 31 days in them?  Do they charge you more on those months?  Since you want it based on 30 days, if they don't charge you extra you of course are more than willing to pay them for this extra day.  That is what you are saying...correct?

Problem 2. For example let's say your service is activated on 11/15 your next payment would be due on 12/14.  In your mind they shorted you a day by making it only 29 days.  So answer this.  INCLUDING the date you activated service, how many days would that be? I'll give you a hint it is greater than 29 but less than 31.
