I was with Centennial for almost two years. I had added my son to my line for emergencies and then my friend wanted a cell phone but had to have a high deposit so I opened another account through Centennial under my name but for her. I had her sign a separate contract outside of Centennial just to cover my butt, in case she didn't follow through.

Well after two months she didn't follow through. I went to the local stor here in town and explained my situation. they said they remembered me and knew it was for my friend and they reassured me that if I done an early termination for her number my phone and my son's phone wouldn't be touched.

I did what I was told by the Centennial manager in the store. Three months later I wentt o use my phone and it had me call a number before I could use my phone. I did and the lady was very rude and said if i didn't have the bill paid in less than a week my phones would be shut off and they would take me to court and I would be responsible for all the lawyer fees and court costs. I tried to explain the friend thing and that I what I was told by the manager of the store and she didn't care to hear it. She said the manager had misinformed me and that she was now telling me how it was going to be. She wouldn't let me get a word in edge wise.

A week later they turned off my phones. On top of all that they went through my call history and called my friends and family and hounded them on my new address and new phone number. That is wrong! They are all about getting their money and don't care to hear the reason behind anything you have to say. They won't listen. They don't care!

I would go back to the store to see what happen and have Store call Collections

AUTHOR: Daniel - Fort Wayne (U.S.A.)

Mama or sir

I do want to apoligze for the inconivence that you have been running into.

As to your situtation - I would suggest going back to the Store Manager and you need to tell him what happen, and have the store manager call collections.

After reading the story, it looks like that you may done a merger and there was a balance from the pervious account that went 60 days past due. The policy of Centennial Wireless is that IF you have more than one account AND any one of those accounts goes 60 days past due, the service on ANY ACTIVE accounts are suspended until the 60 day account is taken of. (either by paying or setting up an arragement)

AS for calling your friends, there is a clause in the contract that stated that this information belongs to us. And all companies do have this cause in their contracts. And the only reason why we do this, WE DO NOT WANT TO SEE YOUR ACCOUNT GOING TO OUTSIDE COLLECTIONS AND AFFECTING YOUR CREDIT. And we would only leave a message for you to call us.

And if the account was to reach 90 days past due, it would not go to a lawyer or collections agency that quickly. You do have time to get this resolved before it goes that far.

Is it still possible to get your active account, OF COURSE! Call our collections department, more than likely if still make a payment on this account, we can restore your service.

I am sorry that you do feel that way, but there is still a chance that this issue CAN BE RESOLVED.
