Consumer Cellular: Alluring ads, three different phones, three activation fees, and many unresolved complaints later, I've left this company.

It cost me ~ $150 (NOT including service) to finally realize that probably their carrier--AT&T--ensures indecipherable and frequently dropped calls--making phone use impossible, agonizing, and frustrating. And all in the middle of Manhattan (NY) with phone towers everywhere.

In the several months I tried to use Consumer Cellular, they could never resolved this impossible reception and never explained the problems. Don't fall for these folks.
