Sorry to hear that happened to you. Just a tip on canceling Cricket's service: if you have "automatic bill payment" (ABP) enabled on your account and you are going to cancel your service, you MUST call Cricket at least 14 DAYS IN ADVANCE and DISABLE automatic bill payment.
The automatic bill payment process usually starts at least 7 days BEFORE your bill is due. You SHOULD have been told by a Cricket CSR that your payment will still be drafted from your credit/debit card. If you used a credit card for automatic bill payment, file a dispute with your credit card's issuing bank in order to be refunded. If it was a debit card and the charge was over $50, contact your bank to dispute the charge.
