I bought a 2nd line of service through Cricket's online website, Mycricket.com.  I paid for the phone and they charged me 2 months of service (although I've been a customer for over 5 years), plus tax.  I got the phone the next day, overnight as the site said.  However, their tracking service never indicated the phone was on its way but that's not a real problem.

I tried to get the phone activated on the 12th of May 2011, however, I was told that my account was locked and it would be 24 hours. They explained many times they were transferring their accounts for all new phones and phone service.  This isn't for new service, as previously stated, this is a 2nd line and I've been a customer for over 5 years.  The saddest part of this experience is they charged me all this money and their customer service representatives used many cookie cutter excuses from wait 24 hours, 30 minutes, at the end of the day, Wednesday (2 days) and lastly 24-48 hours after waiting a week.  I can't say that the phone will be on within 24-48 hours (9 days of trying) or not but no matter the outcome, after this experience with Cricket, I have no intention of staying with them past the service I've already paid for.  I'm going to look for a better offer and company, if one exist.

I did learn one thing - after being without a mobile phone for a week (gave my first line phone to my son), I wasn't that bothered.  I guess it truly is a luxury item that has been made to seem like a must have.  I do thank Cricket's inept company for helping me to realize this point.

Avoid Cricket and their rip offs.  By the way, the phone I got, the camera is very dark, you can't see any photos taken.  I'd complain but I think I have enough going with them that it would just be further stress for me.  Oh yeah, that's what I've had, unnecessary stress.  I'd think a company like Cricket/Leap would be happy to have a good customer, a long-term customer who was even purchasing more from them...only to be treated with this great disrespect.  I guess I just have to conclude, their loss.
