We found an excess charge added to our Verizon bill this month and were told it was from an outside company called ESBI. I called them and they played a tape of a phone solicitation with one of our employees. The employee politely listened to the entire presentation, even though it was extremely difficult to understand the caller. At the end, the employee (and I, on listening to the tape twice) heard the caller say "Do you understand this offer sir?" to which our employee replied yes. The caller said, "did you say yes, sir?" and our employee said, "Yes." The caller said thank you and hung up.

Now - ESBI says that the caller said "understand and accept" and while they agreed to stop the so-called service and refund one month's worth, they refused to refund the other month. I have written to Verizon and complained at ESBI's website and will contact the BBB if necessary.
