Metro PCS SanJose CA I paid $ 58.00 for 1 month service on January 3, 2012 and they are cutting my service off January 27 if I dont pay another $58.00. I should not have to pay again until Feb 3 2012. San Jose, California

I bought an Android cell phone from METRO end of October 2011. I did not pay the bill on Dec 26 2011 because I wanted my billing date to be on the 3rd of each month to coincide with my payday. So they turned off my phone on Dec 27 which I expected. I paid $58.00 on January 3,2012 which was for a month of service and now Metro PCS told me that my phone will be turned off Jan 27, 2012 if I dont pay the bill which they say is still due Jan 26. I paid for a month of service on Jan 3rd. How can they be allowed to cheat me out of that? My bill should not be due again until Feb 3, 2012.

without their agreement?
What did you think would happen?....if you thought about it at all. You were eight days late paying and they haven't changed your due date...did you even ask them about this before doing it on your own?
Try saving back $58 from your payday on the 3rd of each month to pay the bill due on the 26th....there wasn't that easy?

My service with metro is month to month. I do not have a contract. I could understand that if I had a 2 year contract with a company. I pay month to month. Jan 3 to February 3 is one month and that is what I paid for. Apparently you must work for Metro PCS. Of course you are never going to admit guilt. President Clinton said he did not have sex with that woman but in all reality HE DID!!! All a bunch of liars and cheats!!!

Answer the question...DID YOU EVEN ASK THEM FIRST, before skipping your payment? Did you have to pay a re-connect fee? Are you really as stupid as you sound? Hang in there, you're really showing them who's boss. Don't even let them know if it bothers you when they disconnect you again on Jan. 27.
Let all of us know how your plan is working for you. GO !! Metro PCS !!
Guess you've run out of argument, I'm now accused of working for Metro PCS. That now makes about 2-1/2 dozen companies this retired person has been accused of working/shilling for. Or as Bill Clinton would say, "It depends on your definition" of the action.

Even in a month-to-month contract, the payment is due prior to the beginning of the next month. The $58 payment you made is for the entire month of January, regardless of when you signed up for the plan. It means your plan payment was retroactive to January 1, 2012. If the difference between the beginning of the month, and when you signed up is less than 10 days, you don't generally get that month pro-rated. The reason is that you're liable for a full month of taxes on the phone, regardless of the cell phone plan.
You want the month billing to coincide with when you get payment, but you don't get that choice; that choice belongs to the cell phone company. Since your taxes have to be paid by the 1st of the month, you have to pay the bill before the 1st. Your going to have to adjust your budget if you want to comply with your month-to-month agreement. Best of luck to you.
