On February 3rd, 2010 I purchased my MetroPCS Motorola VE240 from MetroPCS.com. On the site, at the time it said Phone Cost $49.00 Minus Mail In Rebate $40.00 Equals $9.00.
I activated my new phone on 3/3/2010 and mailed in the rebate form, supplied my invoice from ordering the phone online, and the bar code from the box that phone came in also on 3/3/2010.
On 4/16/2010 I receive a notice telling me that my rebate request was not postmarked by the cut off date. The only problem I have with that is that the letter was dated 4/8/2010 and the cut off for the postmark was 4/14/2010.
I intend on filing complaints with the State of Georgia Office of Consumer Affairs as well as taking legal action in Federal Court.
