Qwest wireless had a "special promotion" buy a phone with a 1 year contract and recieve a 50 dollar visa card so I called and made a contract for a year, they said I would get my 50 dollar visa which I could use to pay for the phone and I fell for it like a stupid, 2 months have passed and no sign of the visa and evertime I call them regarding my visa they say I will be getting it soon.

Recently this company made news because it was overcharging and had to refund thousands if not millions of dollars.
Question::: Are they trying to recover from that loss by false advertising? Please help before it's too late.

Employees PLEASE respond!

AUTHOR: Jennifer - Gilbert (U.S.A.)

Hmmm....This post is almost 2 years old so I hope that things have changed in the world of Qwest Wireless.

I just recently signed on with Qwest Wireless over the phone 2 nights ago. I'm waiting for my phone, but after reading these posts I feel the need to call them up and get a recap on EXACTLY what I ordered. Fortunatly they have a 15 day money back option if you decide you don't like the service.

I have had Qwest for my residential service for years and years and have never expierenced any problems. Hopefully it will be the same with wireless.

I signed up for a plan that covers most of AZ (Phx,Tucson,Flagstaff,Sedona & Prescott)and I was assured that there would be NO ROAMING FEES while in these areas. Also I was told that I could change plans any time I wanted and my contract would not be extended. I was also advised that they would be extended their local coveraqe area within the next few months, therefore any call placed in AZ would not be considered "roaming". If there are any QWEST EMPLOYEES out there and that could give me some insight, I would be grateful. I just don't want the same problems that I had with Verizon.

Thanks! :))~

You should be just fine

AUTHOR: John - Phoenix (U.S.A.)

You'll be getting coverage map either with the phone or with a follow up letter that'll show you exactly where you have coverage.

To avoid any roaming fees, I would set the phone to a "no roam" setting. This will keep you on the Qwest network, and, aside from the occassional hole in coverage, you'll be covered throughout metro Phoenix. If you have questions about setting it to no roam, call 800-879-0611, they'll help you with it and answer any questions.
