Qwest Wireless Unjustly Holding Us to Alledged "Contract" Phoenix Arizona

Having been with Qwest Wireless for several years 93 phones), we received a phone solicitation last April from them to upgrade our plan to more minutes for the same price and to receive a $50 gift card. We got the gift card, but when our bill came, the monthly charge was for more money, despite being promised it would not be.

When we called Qwest (a nightmare in itself), they had never heard of the plan we were solicited for. After MUCH ADO, they switched us back to our "old" pricing plan.

Recently we waned to switch to another wireless company due to the fact that Qwuest has roaming fees which other carriers do not. When we called for termination, we were told we were under contract with them unitl 3/04 due to the fact that we had cashed the VISA card!! It will cost us several hundred in fees to break this supposed contract, that we were unaware of. This is GROSSLY unjust due to the BOGUS SALES call we got to our house in the first place!! None of this was our fault.

We are in a terrible position. Calling Qwest for resolution literally takes HOURS on the phone. Writing to them on the internet resulted in a "form" letter back telling us we had to call for termination. This is horrid and is TOTALLY unfair that they can hold us to a contract becuase their sales department is disconnected from the rest of the company.

The long waits on the phone for customer service is criminal.
