The company SMS.ac has gone through many facelifts, changes of services, business plans, etc. I found that site about six years ago and made an account because they allowed free text messaging to cell phones.

Well, after they changed their policies about three times finally they settled on charging .25 cents per text message. Not wanting this service anymore, I canceled my account about four years ago.

The company SMS.ac charged my phone bill for $5.99. They have my mobil number from about 6 years ago. It showed up on the phone bill. If anyone has anything to do with them just keep your eyes peeled, they are fishy.

I've heard other bad things about SMS.ac, but I think charging ex-customers out of the blue is a new business model they've developed. $5.99 is nothing really, but I don't like being stolen from.
