T-mobile Hot Spot tmobile hotspot fraudulent billing tactics RIPOFF! Dallas Texas

I signed up for the tmobile hotspot "pay-as-you-go-plan" which is $6 per use of 1 hour (minimun use is 1 hour- hence $6). HOWEVER, here's the scam... TMOBILE CHARGES YOU for a full hour EVERYTIME YOU LOG ONTO THE SYSTEM- even when you do so within the same hour. Therefore, given how flakey the service is to begin with, when you are knocked off of it in your friendly neigborhood starbucks and need to login again... they charge you each time.

I used their system for about 30 minutes on September 27th 2003, only to notice a $30 charge on my credit card on October 28th (a full month later). Billing one full month later is also their policy which has the effect of allowing customers to forget the true details of their usage. I was told by customer service that it was my responsiblity to contact them and tell them that I needed to login multiple times during the same hour in order to prevent this charge.

Meanwhile the customer service rep had the exact times of my usage right in front of her (all of which took place within less than a single hour)... therefore tmobile made an easy extra $24 dollars off me, and this policy counts on suckers like me who don't check their credit card bill as regularly and carefully as they should. This so-called "glitch" in their system is not one I expect they will be soon correcting without a big kick in the pants. As well when you call customer service, they give you the run around saying that they will "review" the issue and get back to you. I will update this ripoff report when they do "get back to me"
