Verizon Wireless (assumed name for GTE mobilnet) has been a ripoff for years and would rather go to federal court than correct erroneous billing and credit reporting. Houston Texas

Verizon apparently overbilled from day one, when I finally took the time to try to correct it, it took hours on the phone. After admitting their errors, they still mistakenly disconnected my service several times, and then continued to overbill every month.
I emailed. I called. I sent letters. I sent certified letters. I fired them. I explained their errors. I told them not to report anything on my credit as a result of their errors.
They knowingly reported false negative credit information, ruining my credit. They have sent the account to at least 8 different collection agencies, who each calls and sends letters all the time. They have never, ever responded in any way to any of my emails, letters, or certified letters.
I have now sued them. Rather than calling or responding, they would apparently rather remove the case to Federal district court and fight it out. Fortunately, I am one of those very rare people who can afford to fight back. I hope to succeed.
This is truly a bad, bad company. If you have a claim against them, especially if you are in Harris county, texas, respond to this report by clicking on the rebuttal button.

Verizon and their business tactics make me beleive that they need to expierence Enron results.
Their terrible in operating professionalism and don't have the proper man power to follow ethical practices.
I say let them keep misleading people and when they do have enough to refeed the poor and abused consumer then LET THEM HAVE IT.
I have 2 phones one for about 4 years the other for my son who is in active duty overseas. When him and I signed up the plan it was supposed to be international, not!
Poor kid couldn't call home and there was no way we could call him.
So I called the customer service department whom I might add is a bundle of joy, NOT! They said that it wasn't international...ok so how do we fix this problem...never got much of any answer.
My guess they wanted free money by billing me $59.00 for his policy along with the $41.00 or so of mine.So I changed the plan to $15.00 a month and paid the back charges and once I was caught up they disconnected the useless phone. Charging me a 175.00 fee for early termination.
I was paid up and they killed my son's phone. Now I dispute their claims after calling several times to try to settle, each rep. refused. Blaming it on me, even though I was caught up!Yeah, I was behind only because my son was supposed to send the money. But the strange thing is when they killed the phone it was paid up. The only thing I admit to is being late in paying.
Question, are they allowed to cut off the phone, I thought according to FCC rules they were supposed to provide notice. Or is that the local phone company that can cut the long distance phone off but not the 911 system?
Anyways, when I called each Rep. had a new reason and new story. They now have hired a collection agency to collect the termination fee.
Also, they decided to disconnect my phone because of the other case. Now my phone is restored and I want to fight them about my son's phone.
This company needs an extreme makeover in policy and rules. Finally I have started my own notes on each billing cycle perhaps to discover if there are hidden double billing methods.
Lastly, when I told one Rep. that I had been a customer for over 4 years she said "so"." We treat all our customers from day one as valuable.
Basically, what I heard was that she didn't care! And knowing this I thought to myself, this paying customer(meaning me, the consumer)has attributed to your paycheck and the companies weathly success, and you could careless.
Well, I am sure my agenda will be to care enough about this TO VOICE MY FREEDOM OF SPEECH and to proclaim liberty towards needed change!
