Verizon called me promoting that I could make my automatic payments through my credit card and I could take advantages of that and gain points and miles in my credit card and I did it. I started the automatic charge to the credit card, The second month into using this , they charged me $177.74 when my monthly payment is flat for $59.99. I called them the same day I got the statement and told them of the mistake, the agreed to fix the issue, when I got my credit card statement it shows they charged me $177.74 , I called an complained they told me that they credited my account and that I won't have to pay for the next 3 months. I told them that I want them to credit my credit card that I don't want to get a credit in their account. They told me that is not the way that it works that they can only credit the accounts they can't return money. How good is that??? So next time they may charge me $5000 for a service that cost $50 a month and they may tell me, do not worry you don't have to pay us for the next 8.3 years. What if they are doing this to all their customers , they may be putting all this money on some investment or some special account to gain interest. If there is any lawyer reading this , it would be worthy to research how many other customer got this issue this month.

I'm sorry if I missed it, but I don't think you mentioned that the reps you talked to said (or didn't say) WHY you were charged $177.74. There's more than likely a good explanation. Did you go over your minutes? Did you take a look at your billing online to see what that amount was actually for?

M wife and I have Verizon's service too, and while it's $59.99 flat rate for the plan, with taxes and our phone insurance, it ends up being just under $80.00 per month. You might wanna take a 2nd look at your billing...
