My Daughter is a victim of sexual abuse, she was only 4 yrs. old when she stated to me that her Grandfather was putting his pee-pee (penus) in her chon-cho (vagina and touching her buttocks). What do you do? Of course report it and trust in the Justice System and Law Enforcement and all the other agencies that are supposed to help and protect your children.
My Daughter had been making comments and screaming everytime she would see her Grandfather-since she was tiny and could not speak! The Drs. would even tell me she was always unusually rashed in her vagina area and rectal area and was not normal, I would always tell this to my Ex-Husband and he did not seem to care. You see my Ex-Father in Law (the perpritrator) is an Ex-Sheriff Recreational Officer and his son, my Ex-Husband, was at that time a Supervisor the the Child Protective Service Dpt. (for many, many years) in the small, corrupt county we live in, Imperial County. I had all my faith in trust in the system (boy was I wrong) I believe my daughter with all my heart and soul, children don't lie, how would my daughter be able to describe what a penus looked like at age 4-come on!!!!! Children do not lie we have to protect our children, I would always tell my ex; nothing ever happened, he would always state that his father loved his Grandaughter and would never do anything to hurt her.
When I reported this horriffic crime I was told by Riverside C.P.S. Hotline that there were over 7 anonymous confidential C.P.S. reports made re: my ex-father-in-law, did anyone ever do anything, I was told that after so many anonymous reports it was mandated that someone investigate, but no one ever did!! When I phoned the Police to report what my daughter told me at 4 yrs. old I was told by the Police not to allow my daughter to go to my Ex-Husband's house for visitation whatsoever due to the fact that he was residing with the perpritrator, his father.
I was also told that a Social Worker for the Imperial County Child Protective Srvce. (CPS) would contact me. I recieved a telephone call from Wendy Jensen, my Ex-Husband's Supervisor, who told me the same.
The El Centro Police Dpt. conducted a very long investigation and took my daughter and I to San Diego Childrens Hospital for a very thorough Drs. Exam and Interview; I was told that my ex had no business being a CPS Supervisor and should not be around children; I was told that there was enough evidence to prosecute; Child Protective Services was no where to be found; my Daughter and I were being interviewed by Imperial County Probation Department-Juvenile Dpt. on behalf of CPS then months later I was contacted by Riverside Child Protective Services; Josie Gonzalez, who stated that somehow the case ended up in there office via inter-office mail.
She further stated that Imperial County CPS declared a conflict and did not want to get involved. From that point on I was interrogated and questioned and made to look as if I was out to get my Ex-Husband and was making all this up because I still loved my ex.
These are words that came out of Josie Gonzalez' mouth - she was questioning me about my entire life and sex life, asking if I was on medication, everything. She was not acting as if she was working on my daughter's side at all. She was a very cold, unproffessional, rude, unethical, and did not have compassion at all. It took months before I could get any information as far as the investigation or outcome on anything. During the whole time that the criminal investigation was going on my Ex-Husband decided to take me to Family Law Court asking for Sole Physical Custody of my Daughter. Not once did he mention to the Judge or did the Judge acknowledge that there was an Investigation going on with Riverside CPS. However when I tried to mention it the Judge would state that he was unaware of it. To make a long story short the Judge granted my Ex Physical Joint Custody and my Daughter was forced to move in with her Father.
Josie Gonzalez, the CPS worker that was supposedly working to protect my daughter, was no where to be found and knew of the Court Hearing and the importance of being there and providing the Judge and myself with the Investigion Reports.
The day before Court I received a telephone call from Josie Gonzalez and she sounded very nervous and scared; she said that evidence was substantiated on the Grandfather (Perpritrator) for Sexual Abuse and that evidence was substantiated on my Ex-Husband for Severe Child Negligence and that the Judge was aware of this because Josie and another Social Worker (she did not give me a name) both sat with the Judge in his chambers and spoke to him regarding the evidence and stated to the Judge that the Grandfather needed to be prosecuted and that my Ex needed to be charged and investigated and both should not have any contact with my Daughter. Josie also stated that she told the Judge not to remove my Daughter from my Custody. However all of this was forgotten in Court; Where was the Social Worker that was supposed to be protecting my daughter and her interests; Where was the report or anything in writing that could help my daughter.
I remined Josie Gonzalez that she was Subpenoed and needed to be present in Court; and she stated; No, she did not need to be in court, and that the Judge had her final investigation Report and Recommendation and Evidence and that she was done. I asked her if she needed to give me documents as proof and she said you don't need proof I already spoke to the Judge and it has been entered in my computer that's all you need and then she hung up. It took me nearly three (3) years of writting to people to finally get those documents that Josie Gonzalez was supposed to have given me and the Court.
Those documents where somehow lost and missplaced in the Riverside Headquarters Main Office. This is what I was told by the person that assisted me in getting them. Then once they mailed them to me; my Ex found out and had Headquarters call me ordering me to mail them back!!! What corruption is this.
I immediatly filed them with the Courts but all they did was seal them up; I took them to the Law Enforcement and they acted as if there was nothing they could do; I took them to the District Attorney's Office, Grand Jury, CPS here locally, NOTHING!!!!! If I would of had these documents from Josie Gonzalez or she would of gone to Court as she was supposed to; I would never have lost custody of my little, innocent child......what do I tell my daughter who is terrified of her Grandfather and of her own Father????
She is now 11 yrs. old and hates living with her Father, she is desperate to come back home, what do I tell her???? Please Help!!!! I have lost faith in the Justice System, Law Enforcement, is anyone real out there anymore or does everyone have a price??????? Who can you trust. Who is going to protect the innocent children and speak on behalf of their tiny, innocent voices, or our we going to continue to be bought and let these sick animals get away with this??? What would you do if this was your Son or Daughter???? Please help!!!!!
