A reply from Michael Higgins, who, unlike the Bill M's and John S's of the world, really does exist. Please bear with me, as I have much to say:

When these accusations were originally posted here, regarding Xtra Special Days (and consequently my twin brother and I), naturally I was upset. We emailed those responsible for posting them, warning that if they didn't stop the nonsense, we would have no choice but to defend ourselves. Well, they are at it again, and I am sick and tired of their lies! Especially coming from a person with such an extremely shady past. But I'll come to that later.

I am the first to admit that I have a checkered past, including extensive drug abuse, which thankfully, God has completely delivered me from. In fact, it's allowed me to reach out and inspire many others, by strengthening their walk with God. Never once have I denied my many past shortcomings. Those who know me best are well aware of them, and they respect my honesty and openness. For the first time in my life I am completely sold out to God's plan for my life, and I will let no one or nothing stop me from pursuing what God has called me to do.

Regarding Xtra Special Days, it was a remarkable concept and everyone involved knew it. On numerous occasions, being a new company, I told every rep that I personally signed up that we had a huge role to play, and that it would take lots of hard work and determination to build this company. Unfortunately, I placed reps with those who are now making these false allegations against us! BIG MISTAKE! Regarding the hundreds of thousands of dollars that were supposedly generated, like the vast majority of lies perpetrated against us, it is completely false. If we had generated hundreds of thousands of dollars, XSD would still be up and running today, but it isn't. In today's times, it is extremely difficult to succeed in business with little or no working capital. Add a sagging economy to the mix and success is all but impossible.

One of the biggest mistakes we made at the formation of XSD was to trust the words of our "so-called" number one rep, Charles J. (CJ) McDevitt, without first checking into his seedy past. I firmly believe he is the one responsible for posting these false allegations against us. At the very least, I know he is involved. It is true that I have worked in the restaurant business much of my life. This is no big secret. I never hid this from anyone. But at least it was honest work.

Regarding my past, I have nothing to hide: On the other hand, when we first met Charles J (CJ) McDevitt, he told us numerous stories regarding his heroic past. We listened with great interest and were completely awestruck by his bravery and heroism, especially pertaining to his being a Navy SEAL and having endured the submarine explosion the way he had. We have come to learn that it was one big lie! Here are some of the lies perpetrated by "Dr. Navy SEAL McDevitt.

Before you buy into what this man is saying about us, please do yourself a favor and consider the source!

2001 - Checking on Chief (MTC) Charles J. McDevitt, Jr. Claimed to be member of SEAL Team 2 with Vietnam service and later during Gulf War reactivated with SEAL Team 6. After Vietnam left the SEALS and was submariner. Retired in 1994. While Chief McDevitt was NJROTC Instructor at Cypress Creek High School , Orlando , FL. Chief McDevitt normally worn his SEAL pin along with his Dolphin pin on his uniform. He has been removed by CNET from NJROTC duty over the SEAL pin.

Chief McDevitt does have a DD214 which lists the SEAL pin in block 13 along with several other decorations, metals, etc. that he is authorized to wear.

2005 - Claims he was a Navy SEAL. Somehow he was also a submariner. He works for a company called TSW International in Maitland Florida helps vets find jobs.

2006 .... went to TSW International in Maitland, Florida today as a potential client. I met with a CJ McDevitt, who told me right out of the chute that he was a Navy SEAL. Upon returning home, I put “TSW International Maitland” in my search window…and was led directly to your site. Interesting to note he is still telling the same lies he told about a year ago, when you posted him on your site. If he wasn't aware of it before, he most certainly is now.

2007 - quote
CJ McDevitt wears a gold Navy SEAL emblem necklace boasting that he was a SEAL for a brief time during Desert Storm. He claims to have been seriously injured by a sea mine during an operation that went bad. He said he laid in a military hospital for months recuperating from this injury that almost killed him. When asked why he doesn't get injured status or disability payments in his retirement, he says its because the operation was so secretive that the records cannot be publicized as they were somewhere they never should have been.

Despite his true service, commendations and efforts of serving the Navy, he feels the need to elaborate his service and tell this huge tale to all he comes in contact with. He uses this story to woo ladies and deceive them into thinking he is of strong character and integrity when all he is - is a charlatan.

There is no one with the last name McDEVITT, or anything even close in spelling or pronunciation in the BUD/S database. As you are aware, while there are secret missions, there are no secret training classes and there are no secret SEALs. We know them all, and McDEVITT is NOT one of them! Just to be clear – C. J. McDEVITT is not now and never has been a US Navy SEAL. He is not a member of the Naval Special Warfare community.

Please note; as you are also aware, SEAL challenge coins can be purchased for as little as $10 over the Internet, and a SEAL Trident “Budweiser” pin can be purchased at virtually any military surplus store. Possession of those items of SEAL paraphernalia don't make a SEAL.

Because of the cost of training submariners, the Navy does NOT permit sailors who are training for submarine duty or serving on submarines to apply for SEAL training/duty. Men who wish to apply for SEAL training/duty must hold one of a limited number of authorized source skill taskings/ratings. None of the submarine ratings is included in that list.

The doubtful "proof"

It's funny that this man would be so arrogant to post lies about my brother and I on the very site others have used to expose him as a fraud. And the accusations made against him are nothing short of horrendous.

Now that they are bashing Redeemed International, an outreach ministry that hasn't even yet started, I am outraged beyond measure, and feel the need to reply. Say what you want about my past, but do NOT question my faith in God! I am proud to be a Christ follower and only God knows my heart!

Finally, regarding my twin brother, my mother doesn't think he is a con man. That is utterly ridiculous and needs no further reply! And he certainly doesn't prey upon women or Christians. He prays for them, yes, but never preys on them! I think CJ forgot that when he posted that remark, he was writing about himself!

Lastly, and most importantly, my twin brother is an amazing father to his children. He didn't leave them. They were taken from him, due to a lack of money. He is NOT a deadbeat Dad, just a struggling father, who misses his children so much! The real tragedy here is that a loving father can't even see his children, and vice versa, because of a lack of money. He is doing everything in his power now to get his children back. This is NOT a sales pitch, but if you really want to get to know my twin brother, simply read his book. God has really blessed him to be a powerful writer, and his Christian books will soon be read worldwide. I completely stand by him, along with many others, and nothing or no one will ever stop us from evangelizing the world for Christ Jesus! My brother's problems are financial and will be solved in time, whereas Dr. Navy SEAL McDevitt's problems are characteristic in nature. Simply put: he needs serious help and prayer. I am praying for him.

When I first read the lies written about Patrick here, it made me cry. I was literally sick to my stomach. Then anger set in, and I wanted to retaliate, but Patrick asked me not to. I urged him to explain his side, but Patrick asked me to pray for these people instead. But they continued their attack. And now they are attacking his Christian ministry, and I am outraged! IT'S TIME TO STAND UP FOR MY FRIEND’S RIGHTS!

I’ve known Patrick for two years now, and I am fully aware of what is happening in his
personal life. Long before these people (and I know who they are) posted these vicious lies about Patrick, he shared his recent struggles with me—oftentimes in tears—regarding his children and how much he misses them. He is working hard now to get them back.I speak from the heart when I say Patrick is a is a warm, genuine, kind-hearted person.What I admire most about Patrick is that he is never ashamed to share the word of God with anyone at anytime. I know him to be a loving and caring father, who wants nothing more than to be with his children again. Yet his rights as their father have been taken away because of something as ridiculous as money, especially since the numbers are nowhere close to being accurate! Everyone involved in this civil matter knows this, yet they continue to lie about it. But God is monitoring it all very closely.

Regarding the comment made about Patrick preying on single women, nothing could be
further from the truth! I am a single woman in my late twenties, and I thank God for blessing me with such a wonderful friend in Patrick. I trust him completely. Despite his busy writing schedule and the trials and tribulations he is faced with, he is a “safe” friend, who is always there when I need someone to lean on. And it’s not just me. I personally know hundreds of other women—both single and married—whose lives have been greatly impacted by Patrick. He is a very understanding man, who loves to encourage and strengthen those who need it most.

Regarding Xtra Special Days, I was so proud to be involved with Patrick and assist him
whenever I could. XSD was an amazing concept with great promise. It was NOT a scam! Nor was it ever shut down by the district attorney! That is yet another lie! Unfortunately due to the global recession, especially in USA, and extremely limited funds, it didn’t survive. I can honestly say that I felt Patrick’s pain that day. Instead of attacking the company itself, or the other principles involved, those making false allegations now chose instead to attack Patrick and his twin brother Michael. So sad!

For the record, I am even more proud to represent Redeemed International in any
capacity. Once it is up and running, this ministry WILL lead many people worldwide to Christ.

In closing, those responsible for hiding behind fake identities, and spreading such vicious lies, in an attempt to destroy Patrick’s reputation and assassinate his character, need to live with themselves. I wasn’t at all surprised to learn that the man behind it all was actually written up on this very site many times in the past, long before he attacked Patrick and Michael Higgins.

Charles J McDevitt is NOT a good man! From what I am learning about him—and I am still digging—he is the one responsible for preying on single women and mothers! I believe he is a dangerous person. Feel free to read about him for yourself in other rebuttals already posted.
