GC Services rip-off! They're demanding I pay for a ticket that was dismissed. Houston Texas

GC Services sent me a bill for $655.00 stating I owed Merced County and did not say what it was for. That if I did not pay, a judgement would be placed against me, and that my driver's licsense would be suspended, or my wadges would be garnished. As if GC Services of Houston Texas has that authority in the state of California anyway! They stated that because I ignored their previous notices,(which is a flat out lie because I haved lived in San Diego County for 3.5 years and have never heard anything from them ever at any time, and have lived at the same address for 3 of those years.)

I believe what they may be referring to is a ticket I received in 1998 passing through a small town in Central California called Los Banos, which was not even a moving violation, but because my drivers license had expired by a month. They stranded me and my family there in Los Banos and would not let me drive. Had to stay there for 4 hours for someone to pick us up. First thing I did after returning home was to re-new my expired license.

Two month's later I could not make the trip back to Merced County for the court date of the minor infraction, and they suspended my license. I have had my license suspended for four years and a fine imposed on me for some ridiculous amount. It has now been 6 years, and that case was dismissed, and the DMV has re-enstated my license.

Now GC Services is demanding that I pay for a case that was dismissed? They are threatening to suspend my driving privilages for a case that has been legally dismissed? They are liars and crooks, and if they decide to take any action against me, I will file a lawsuit against them. This is not legall.

I have proof that the case was dismissed, and it can not be reopened! I more than paid my dues, which should not have been, by taking public transportation for over 4 years cause my license was suspended for that time. And why after all this time they are just now trying to collect? The statue of limitations in the state of California is 4 years. That is why it had to be removed from my credit report.
