Small town city officials are on the take. If you are a big business owner or manager you can buy the mayor and his council. Big business owners bully the elderly and nearby homeowners. Senator Hutchinson has been alerted to the problem. There is not a store in LaMarque because all the decent stores would have to pay off the mayor and his council. Oh and don't forget the fire marshal. La Marque, Texas City Hall sucks and someone needs to come clean house.

You are absolutely correct. I know someone who is real interested in running for mayor, has plenty of money and will be supported by many of La Marque citizens. Streets are in one Hell of a shape with the exception of renovations to Cedar Drive where City Council resides. Citizens need a voice not corruption.
