As I said before, it never seems to amaze me about the never-ending Internet gossip postings regarding certain alleged occurrences within HACLA and its executive staff members which almost always seem to either be far too outstretched, or just plain fabricated fairy tales, presumably by a disgruntled employee.
Take the case of the above-posting which was, from what I understand, hearsay and is without merit. Yes, there was a public meeting in San Fernando recently. Yet, this meeting was along the same lines as a stimulus package. It was designed and presented as a successful proposal by executive board members, to put minds at ease and to address all public housing concerns, one being upcoming proposed cuts within Section 8 tenants.
No wonder executive staff were nervous. They had ever right to be. Considering the biggest percentage of Section 8 tenants within Los Angeles County are unemployed parolees to begin with, it only made good common and corporate sense to provide adequate security by having Captain Scott Butler and his A-team on hand. Rudy Montiel is right-we do owe a debt of gratitude to Captain Butler and his security staff. Without them, where would the safety of the HACLA personnel be?
The intoxicated individual should be lucky Butler didn't break his arm. But considering Captain Butler was the victim of a crime-assault and battery, he obviously maintained a high level of decorum and professionalism by letting LAPD clean up the mess and take the inebriated scum bag to jail. The sixty-four thousand-dollar question remains-was this violent, disruptive, intoxicated piece of garbage a HACLA tenant? (the question is rhetorical) And why aren't administrators working to evict him, considering he poses a danger to the other tenants?
There also seems to be a high degree of jealousy from certain individuals regarding Captain Scott Butler's position as a well-paid officer with the Los Angeles Housing Security Department. Now his background as an ex-Deputy sheriff is being brought into question.Yet, why? from what I'm told, he does his job with with the utmost level of strict consciousness and extreme professionalism.
I have a strong feeling it's the very people who shake his hand, pat him on the back and present him with outstanding achievement awards and commendations, who are the ones who are fueling the flames of Gossip Central on the fifth floor.
