You know something? It never ceases to amaze me just how certain people have so much time on their hands that they have absolutely nothing better to do, but to look for reasons to gossip and accuse certain HACLA personnel of being prostitutes. Just what exactly do you do, follow Mr. Montiel around as a means and ways to get good "dirt" on him?
If Rudy Montiel is in fact involved in any illicit activities with "ladies of the evening," (which, I have no doubt he he has, based on the recent confidential information I received) that certainly wasn't the case the day in question. According to sources, ( I won't mention names) He was truly at a planned business luncheon.
Yes, while it's true, Mr. Montiel was seen at Dupars having lunch that day, he wasn't doing anything illegal, or violating any corporate policy. He was having a scheduled business lunch and was seen in the company of the stunningly attractive executive HACLA Board Member Commissioner Lucelia Hooper. This is one pro-active elected Board Member who didn't use sex to climb the corporate ladder.
As you know, Ms. hooper, et al, is responsible for overseeing amended rules and regulations, plus introducing new policies within the Housing Department. It appears Mr. Montiel, a worse "hatchet man" than "Kinky" Ken Simmons, from what I'm told, was looking for reasons to "cut corners" in a effort to reduce public spending. It is a shame, because I heard his decisions on cutbacks and staff reduction, along with budget restraints are almost always "rubber-stamped."
So, basically, this business lunch meeting was in vain. If anything Lucelia Hooper was looking to save the day with adding more staff, extending benefits to employees and asking for Mr. Montiel's support. It is Mr. Montiel who should be audited for his daily luncheons at suave, expensive eateries, not the company he keeps.
