Camping World Service RipOff and Damage to RV Fort Worth, Texas

Earlier this year we took our RV to Camping World in Fort Worth, TX for a wash and wax. We dropped it off at 4 pm on a Friday and was told the tech would be in on Saturday at 10 a.m. As we did not feel it was enough time to do a good job, we told them it was ok to keep the RV into the next week to be sure the job was done right.
To our amazement, they called us Saturday at 2 pm to tell us it was ready. As our RV is 40’ long, it was shocking to hear it was done in 4 hours or less!!
When we arrived, we found it looked no different—it didn’t appear to have any wax on it; we could find no signs of left-over wax in the seams etc. What we did find was some rust marks from the side ladder which hadn’t been cleaned off, a hole in the roof (I had just checked the roof prior to dropping the RV off) and a split rubber grip on the door handle, apparently from the pressure washer. All we could see was that it had been washed “AT”.
We brought this to the service desk’s attention. The service desk rep said that the jobs are outsourced, but still they made excuses—e.g. rust marks were permanent, they didn’t cause the hole in the roof (but they jumped at the chance to give us repair materials), and they didn’t have any door handles with rubber grips (funny we found them in THEIR catalog). They refused to come outside to look at the RV and told us we would have to bring it back Monday when the supervisor was there. YEAH RIGHT! We’re going to make another 100-mile round trip to argue with them!!!
When we got home, I cleaned the rust off with a cleaner, fixed the roof hole and will be replacing the handle before we hit the road again.
We will NEVER use their services again and hope this will be a warning to other RV’ers needing service work. PLEASE, beware!!!
