IDC was contracted to clean our HVAC unit on 03/24/09. When arrangements were made, it was only to clean all supply and returns. Upon arrival, the tech (Sean) talked me into further work, ie. cleaning the blower, replacing the filter, deodorizer, etc. Our intention was pay only $99 that was offered in the mailer. When said and done, we paid $400.00. After the services were completed, I did not notice any difference. The person I spoke with on the phone guaranteed a difference and the tech guaranteed a difference and told me if I didn't notice anything after a month to give a call. I called for several reasons, one the dust was exactly the same no different, and I was so upset to find several vent covers that the technicians removed destroyed the paint and drywall. They didn't even mention it at the time the work was done.
When I explained over the phone to IDC, they told me there is nothing they will do because it was past the 30 days. Unbelievable! I would not do business with this company. After that, I went and checked all air vents and they didnt even put the screws back in correctly. There were many that they didn't even clean (remove and vacuum) as promised. At the time of service, there were so many techs I couldnt watch them all. I recall asking them if they cleaned them and they responded yes. Also, after several months, we decided to paint our sons room, we removed the vent cover for the return air duct and I decided to take a camera put it in the duct (my head obviously couldnt fit) and take pictures of the duct. To my surprise, nothing was cleaned out. The pieces of drywall from contruction of the house were still there. I have pictures to prove all my aforementioned complaints. I agree with the others, they are a RIP OFF, they got me for $400 that was very much needed for our bills, tuition, etc. My husband only agreed because he was so tired of hearing me complain about all the dust daily!
