I had a verbal estimate of $450.00 to do some retrofitting on my truckmount carpet machine.
John, the owner said it was easy to do and would take about 1.5 days to complete. It took 4 days and cost me $1,100.00, a heck of a difference from his original estimate . He said he didn't take some things into account.
My response is I should have been notified of a problem and had the right of refusal in doing the work. He gave me no such option. Basically held my business at ransom , so I paid the bill and here we are.
I just want the public to know what a thief and liar he is and to not EVER do business with this thief. He doesn't even do good work. He broke my temp guage, which I didn't find out till after the transaction was complete and then denied it.
I had leaks where things were not tightened up AND he used the same color wire to rewire my starter ignition so if I ever have a problem with it, my only choice is to completely rewire it just to know where the specific colored wires are supposed to go. He truly is a credit to not trusting anyone without a written estimate.
He has done this to many other people that I later found out about, but too late for me. I hope this saves somebody, even one person from getting ripped off by this clown.He has given service a bad name in Largo, Fl. and I just want the carpet cleaning industry to be warned.
Johns custom machine should be avoided like the plague as you will only be sorry and poorer for your trouble if you are stupid enough to have any work done by this crook. This is all I have to say.
