SERVPRO OF PARAMUS #9475 Gave us a verbal quote to clean out our flooded basement and then charged us $1,285.54 more than their quote. Westwood, New Jersey

Our basement was flooded in the week leading up to hurricane Irene.  We initally tried to get ServPro of Hackensack to come and do the work because they had helped us out and done alot of work when we had substantial damage from the Spring storms in 2010. but they were booked solid.  We were able to get ServPro of Paramus to come to our house.  We asked for a quote and Rick told us that it would be $5,000 at most so we were very surprised to get a bill for $6,572.05.  We quickly paid $5,286.51 from our insurance proceeds which is what our adjuster told us to do.  Servpro is now claiming that they never told us it would be less then $5,000.  After much arguing back and forth they did agree to split the difference which I still don't think is fair.
